An Interresting Valentine!

Well lets start last nite when I went to bed I took a little nyquil for a cold to make sure I slept well since I had to work early in the morning. So then my alarm clock went off at 5:50 a.m. I hit snooze slept for another 5 minutes then hit snooze again. Got out of bed at just a little after 6 a.m. and headed upstairs to get ready for work. I did everything I needed to in the bathroom and headed back downstairs to brush my hair and finish getting ready. Then remembering my work clothes were upstairs in the dryer I ran up and got all the clean clothes to take downstairs. On the way back to 'my section' of the basement in the dark I saw something big and black move. Of course it was a spider! Bugs of any sort are just plan GROSS and CREEPY! Moths and Bees of any sort being the worst! Spiders I can handle as long as I have good shoes on and they aren't above my head. Though this particular spider was pushing that limit since it was SSSSSOOOO stinkin big! The thoughts started going through my head about wow I could have stepped on that barefoot in the dark! It could have crawled into my stuff on the floor. Worse yet it could have crawled on my bed! (since it was headed that direction).... So the biggest problem in this whole lil situation was that there was a GINORMOUS spider between me and all of my shoes. Best option was to get some of my sister's shoes but the only option was rubber rain boots so I grabbed those and slipped them on tucking my sweat pants in the boots. It then took a few minutes to work up the courage to stomp on this nasty creature. As you could probably guess I stomped so hard my whole leg hurt! So I bet you are now really curious to what this nasty spider looked like right?! well here it is........

Blog Slacker

Ok so I know I have been slacking on the whole blogging thing, but I have a good excuse I'm not a creative writer and my camera broke. =( So I figured while I sit here and daydream about a new future camera I will do a little blogging... I will of course add a few pictures that I took with my sister's camera. =) So from the last time I blogged a lot has changed. I am no longer at college. I have moved back in with my sister and brother-in-law oh and adorable nephews.

Now I am contemplating moving home to Colorado. Sounds kind of crazy but I would be saving money. The plan as of now is that I will move the end of May and try to get a job and then go to the community college for early childhood education. Maybe even throw in a few photography classes as well as some basic computer such as microsoft programs. Then maybe in the future I could start my own bussiness of kid/baby photography.


It will for sure be hard to live so far away from this cute funny little guys.

This evening was open dorms here at school. This is just a completely awkward wrong event. Why do guys need to see where the girls sleep and visa versa? I mean when you have people over to your house it isn't like you take them and show them your bedroom. In one of the rooms in the guys dorm one of the guys dressed up as santa and was having their picture with everyone. They even put posters up in the cafeteria saying 'hey ladies come sit on santa's lap and get your picture taken with him'. How truely wrong is that?! The open dorm also just goes against all the rules that have been so strictly enforced on us all semester. That sure doesn't leave mixed messages. I know I know you are probably thinking, "well if you are in college then surely the mixed messages aren't really all that mixed." Well yes we are in college but here at school it sure feels like we are treated like children. How are we supposed to be prepared to go out into the world and share the gospel with the lost when we have had no chance to interact with them? We are so sheltered here that when we are kicked out into the real world it is like a huge culture shock!

Why in this school are there unwritten rules about everything? Such as rules about staying off campus during the week, or looking professional in yearbook pictures. Neither of those are written on paper. Ok well the professional pictures one is now but they totally made up that rule toward the end of the semester! Just like while playing a game you can't just randomly make up a rule in the middle because you don't like what happened. IT IS JUST PLAIN WRONG!

There is also a bunch of double standards going on. How is it that the bottom floor of the dorm the RA's are a lil more chilaxed about curfew and yet when someone from upstairs walks in less then five minutes late they call the upstairs RA's. I also find it interresting how tonite was open dorm so the downstairs RA's were pretty cool about the whole curfew thing and had people coming in 15 minutes late, but I show up six minutes late and get handed a violation. I just don't understand!

Well, That's all for tonite. I really just needed to vent and think through some of the crazy nonsense stuff that is going on. There is a lot more I could add to this but considering it is three in the morning and my head is spinning and pounding I think it is time to go to sleep!
